USA 325th GIR - Glider Infantry Regiment Helmet Stencil WW2 - Type #2
Helmet stencil used by the 325th GIR 'Lets Go' - 82'd Airborne Division.
After service in the Italian campaign, the regiment deployed to England and conducted further training in preparation for Operation Overlord. Conducting a glider-borne assault on 7 June 1944, the regiment fought in Normandy for over a month, sustaining heavy casualties before being withdrawn to England.
It measures 40mm tall and 30mm wide. This differs from Version #1 as the bottom bar is higher. Worn on both sides of the M1 helmet, this stencil is suitable for hand or spray painting.
