Painted red, white or blue. Second Battalion 504th were known to wear white Ankh's (Egyptian Cross) the sign of eternal life. There were also red and blue Ankh's used. This decal has been deliberately made uneven to make it look hand painted just as most of the originals were. Transfer or 'stick on' 504th markings were never used in WWII they were all hand painted.
