The 82'd Airborne Division use of stencils was sporadic until after WW2. However this stencil was used on 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) 1st Battalion Helmets.

Be aware the 82'd did not use decals in WW2 they either hand painted or used stencils to add their insignia to their helmets. There are several surviving genuine helmet examples displaying this insignia. The 'HH' derives from the Battalion Commander Harry Harrison.

This can be hand or spray painted and is easy to apply. You can get stencil instructions here.
