Reproduction WWI German M24/M27 Helmet Liner. In the mid 1920s a new liner was designed to replace the worn out WW1 liners. The liner starts to appear around 1924 and is commonly called the M24 or M27 liner.
Perfect for:
- Helmet Restorers
- Living History & Re-enactment
- Films, Museums & Displays
- Gifts and Presentations
The M24 liner was eventually replaced by the M31 liner however the M24 would see continued use well into the 1940s. Found on M16, M17 and M18 Helmets both in Reichswehr and Third Reich transitional service.
Very high quality liner made in Europe. We believe this to be the best and most accurate liner available. Marked with size stamp and made from 100% natural materials.
This version has a single leather 'ring', no bales (WW1 chinstrap used on the helmet lugs) and eyelets without grommets. It does not come with pads or liner pins.
If you are unsure of your helmet size, just measure round the outside of the helmet ensuring the measure goes across all three split pin holes. e.g. a size 60cm will measure around 60.5cm to 61cm.
The final picture shows a genuine version of the M27/M24 liner in use.
