Mid war straps have 12 holes and short original buckles. They have the correct two colour leather - natural brown and black. Does not include studs for attachment.
Late war straps have 13 holes and long original buckles. They have the correct single colour leather - natural brown. Does not include studs for attachment.
Aged Straps have a lovely deep patina with discolouring. Unlike other inferior reproductions, these chinstraps are still very strong and completely usable on re-enacting or display helmets.
The strap may be 'dry' when you receive it, just rub it with some leather feed to give it a lovely deeper finish or if you want your straps to look darker or a bit more polished just use a bit of brown or black boot polish on them - simple!
