The 1st Uhlan Regiment "Kaiser Wilhelm II., King of Prussia" (also known as the "Bamberger Uhlanen" , "Kaiser-Uhlanen" or by the nickname "Sekt-Uhlanen"), was a Uhlan regiment of the Bavarian Army, stationed in Bamberg and subordinated to the 4th Cavalry Brigade in 1914.
The body is black lacquered leather and the gilded fittings have lost some of their gold wash over time. It has the Bavarian wappen (coat of arms), with an enlisted Feldzeichen (Bavarian field marking). It has a Reich and Bavarian cockade and there is a ventilation device under the 'mortar board'. The inside is finished in brown leather and red ventilator, with black liner 'fingers'.
This a superb high quality aged reproduction.
A similar genuine example is very rare, very sought after and would be worth £1500+. This one is a snip of a price and would look great in a study or office - a great discussion piece!
