This is a reproduction, aged, Schirmmützen cap for a Jäger Officer. The maker is EREL and has two makers marks, one in the crown and one on the leather sweat band. This cap is brand new and ready for re-enactment wear or display.
It is a Jäger (Specialised/Light Infantry), Officers Peak Cap, made of top quality wool and in the same method and materials as in the originals.
The insignia is museum quality and includes a 'Jager' Oak leaf badge and a hand made 114th Division badge.
The leather sweat band has the makers mark (EREL patent Stirnschutz), as does the celluloid sweat protector
