Stencil template that can be used on World War Two M1 Helmets to create the 1st US Army helmet insignia. Like all our stencils they can be reused several times.
It measures 55mm tall x 43mm wide.
Suitable for hand painting, this stencil may look simple but it requires a high degree of experience using stencils as it is tricky to line up the component parts.
We find that the best way to apply it is to paint in dark green the outer large Isosceles trapezoid - you only need to paint in a few millimetres around the edge as the rest will be covered by the other stencils. Then align the red stencil (tricky) and paint, then the white stencil and finally the black 'A'. You need to paint in the 2 'tabs' on the 'A'.
