This is one of our worlds best ET71 reproduction helmets in aged condition. It is a M38 paratrooper helmet in dark green paint with single decal. It shows medium wear outside and heavy wear inside but with 80+ years of ageing.
It represents one used by the Luftwaffe Fallschirmjaeger from approximately 1943 onwards and is suitably stamped with ET71 (Eisenhutten Thale) and batch number.
The outside helmet shows medium use and aged with dark apple green paint showing clearly. It has the M38 steel pattern bolts & aluminium slotted bolts and standard chinstrap again aged and tarnished in many areas. The decal is 95% intact and shows clearly with 'yellowed' varnish. The chinstrap popper is 'PRYM 4H' marked.
This is not an inexpensive paint job as found on most well known auction sites - effort and time has been spent to get it as accurate as possible.
This helmet would make a fantastic item in your Fallschirmjäger collection and lets face it an original similar to this one would be GBP £5,000+.
