Re-usable stencil that can be used on German and Norwegian M31 helmets to create the insignia of the Norwegian Hirdens Alarmenheter (HAE).
The HAE were used as internal security and auxiliary police under the control of the German police during WW2.
This stencil was found on both sides of the helmet and on occasions the black background was painted red.
Be careful when separating the stencil from its backing paper as it can be fragile and you don't want to rip it. Apply the circle in white first, allow to dry and then apply the 'cross & Swords' stencil over the white circle and paint in the 4 gaps using black (or red), paint.
