Vidkun Abraham Lauritz Jonssøn Quisling was a Norwegian politician. On 9 April 1940, with the German invasion of Norway in progress, he seized power in Norway. The word quisling has since become a synonym for traitor.
Made from natural materials this is a superb kepi replicating those worn by members of the Nasjonal Samling party including the Hird, or Rikshird, which was a Norwegian form of the German SA, from 1933 to 1945. The badges of the party were gold, while youth organisations were silver.
The final picture shows a genuine period Nasjonal Samling cap.
