War correspondents operate in the most conflict ridden parts of the globe and during WW2 they wore this badge. Once there, they attempt to get close enough to the action to provide written accounts, photos, or film footage. It is often considered the most dangerous form of journalism.
There were several versions of War Correspondent cap badge including metal, but all the genuine ones were not flat they were raised like our copy about 5 to 8mm, so if you see a flat badge its a poor copy.
The penultimate picture compares our new badge against our aged version. The final picture shows one version of a genuine badge.
