Very similar to the post 1940 decal but silver in background - and the border is thicker. Made around early to middle of 1939.
This is known as the thick bordered ET (Eisenhuttenwerke Thale), decal. It was factory applied and used on M35 helmets.
This version is silver, if you want the off white version buy #11.
