This is a reproduction U-Boat badge indicating the emblem of the boat to which the uboat crew belonged. This badge was worn by u-boats belonging the 10th Flotilla formed in January 1942 and disbanded in October 1944.The badge was designed by flotilla chief Rear Admiral Kuhnke and there was a number 10 on the front of the submarine when painted on the boat but omitted when worn as a crew badge.
