Store > WW2 Helmet & Hat Accessories >WW1 British Stencils > DLI (Durham Light Infantry), Helmet Stencil
This stencil is suitable for hand painting only due to the intricate 'DLI' text pattern and the need to hand paint the 'tabs'. It reflects those worn on the DLI helmets during WW1. It is 50mm wide and 50mm tall.
Perfect for:
- Helmet Restorers
- WW2 Army Reenactors
- Living History
- Displays & Presentations
- Military Helmet Collectors
During the First World War, the D.L.I. expanded to 42 battalions, comprising two Regular, two Militia, 17 Territorial (1st, 2nd and 3rd line, some never completed) and 21 service and other types (some short lived), with 22 seeing active service overseas – on the Western Front (at Ypres, Loos, Arras, Messines, Cambrai, the Somme and Passchendaele), in Italy, Egypt, Salonika and India
Please be aware you will need a very small brush and a steady hand to be able to paint in the 'tabs' connected to the 'DLI' acronym if you wish to do this.
