M36 Heer Paratrooper Helmet
This reproduction helmet is based the M36 model shell and refitted M38 liner. It represents one used by the original Heer Fallschirmjaeger and has been refitted for WW2 service with M38 liner.
It is double decal with the National colours and the Heer Eagle & Swastica. The whole helmet is heavily aged with lots of dark rust but with ample apple green paint showing through in many areas
It has the M38 pattern bolts and notice how they protrude from the shell, this is because the shell has not been indented like the M38 model, an example of our attention to detail.
The inner lining is very well maintained yet aged, again to reflect the period of use and 60+ years of ageing. The lining rubber is fully intact. There are two war stamps in the liner leather showing helmet and liner size as per the originals.
The chinstrap popper has broken away from the chinstrap all adding to the age and authenticity of the helmet.
This is not an inexpensive paint job as found on most well known auction sites - effort and time has been spent to get it as accurate as possible.
