M38 Model Fallschirmjägerhelm Luftwaffe DAK Afrika 3 Tone Camo:
M38 DAK 3 Tone Camo
This reproduction paratrooper helmet is based on the Afrika campaigns of World War Two. It has a dark Luftwaffe apple green grey base paint and then an orange sand coloured camouflage top paint mixed in with sand. The top paint has had dark brown and green paints sprayed in patches - typical North African Three tone camouflage scheme.
The paint & helmet shell has been aged and worn reflecting combat as well as over the years. It has the early model liner retaining bolts.
The inner lining is well maintained yet aged, again to reflect the period of use and 60+ years of ageing. The lining rubber is fully intact. There are two early to mid war stamps in the liner leather. The eagle decal is 98% intact.
The helmet has an improvised carry strap and notice how the helmet has been worn at the rear to reflect it being carried on the owners belt. Also notice the replaced chinstrap tab on the buckle and finally a 'take home' label for 2 Para (Parachute Regiment), who fought against units of the
5th FJR Afrika (5th Fallschirmjager Regiment Africa).
This helmet would make a fantastic item in your DAK Afrika Fallschirmjäger collection and an original would be GBP £9000+.
