This helmet is based on usage during the Normandy campaigns of World War Two. It is dark Luftwaffe slate grey and the paint has aged during and worn during combat as well as over the years. It has the later model aluminium bolts all round.
The inner lining is very well maintained yet aged, again to reflect the period of use and 60+ years of ageing. The lining rubber is fully intact. There is one late war stamp in the liner leather inluding the RB Number which replaced manufacturers markings in mid to late war. The single eagle decal is 90% intact and has aged superbly.
This helmet would make a superb item in your Fallschirmjäger collection. It would make a great filler till you get a genuine M38 Luftwaffe helmet. This is not a cheap paint job as found on most well known auction sites - effort and time has been spent to get it 'correct'.
