Waffen SS Helmet Italy
This refurbished genuine helmet shell & reproduction parts helmet is based on the Italian campaign of World War Two as used by the Waffen SS.
The shell is 100% genuine, the rest of the parts are reproduction and aged to look 70+ years old.
It has a RAL7009 base and Italian Campaign camo tan paint finish. The decal is museum quality and the camo paint is from the 1950's stock.
The decal is museum quality second ss pattern version and is carefully blended into the helmet.
The inner lining is very well maintained yet aged, again to reflect the period of use and 65+ years of ageing. The lining is fully intact.
This helmet would make a fantastic item in your Italian Campaign Waffen SS collection and lets face it an original would be in the thousands of pounds. The liner has the batch number 3853 and the maker mark is un-readable. The liner is also a double aluminium liner from early war period which reflects the need to cross exchange parts in the late war period.
The net is again aged and comes from Normandy as is the heavily aged securing wire. So in summary:
