Your replica German WW2 M38 Paratrooper Helmet chinstrap, Kriegsmarine officers chinstrap or uniform parts may be fitted with press fasteners that are incorrectly marked with 'stars' or other characters that were never used on original WW2 German chinstraps. These usually indicate that they are a far east made, cheap reproductions.
These instructions show you how to replace undesirable press fasteners with accurate copies. There are three sets of instructions which reflect the three main hand tools currently available. For small amount of replacements we recommend the Solid Metal Snap tool.
