WW2 British Tommy Helmet North Africa - Refurbishment:

This British helmet shell was sent to us by a customer. It was just the shell and liner retaining bolt. The customer wanted a North Africa Royal Engineers helmet. After stripping the manufacturing stamp can be seen but is still unreadable unfortunately.

In summary we did the following: source an original liner and chinstrap, stripped the shell, repainted in British issue green with sand, added owners name and number, aged the shell, camouflaged the shell in British tan and more sand, added the Royal Engineers flash, aged the helmet and finally preserved with museum wax.
