Refurbishment > WW2 US Helmets > WW2 M2 USA Paratrooper Liner Refurbishment

WW2 M2 Helmet Liner Refurbishment:

This liner was fitted with incorrect 'A' Yokes and they were also positioned incorrectly. In addition the rivets used were not those used by the USA Army Riggers which could have made the fitting position passable as rigger fitted yokes.

Our mission was to remove the incorrect Airborne 'A' yokes, fill the remaining holes, fit proper paratrooper 'A' yokes, and fit 'DOT' pattern poppers to liner and chinstraps and blend in the work on the outside of the liner using suitable paint. The customer wanted to retain all the black 'A' washers and webbing etc.

This was for re-enacting purposes and the customer was on a budget so it was an acceptable level of accuracy Vs cost of materials etc.
