WW2 German DAK M38 Paratrooper Replica Helmet Refurbishment:
This very high quality reproduction M38 Helmet was sent to us by one of our customers who wanted a DAK (Deutsches Afrikakorps) refurbishment. This replica helmet is known as the "Czech Version" and was manufactured by Czech businessmen in an attempt to take advantage of the booming demand for Fallschirmjaeger Helmets. It is still probably one of the best replicas available today and in itself can command very high prices due to the quality of manufacture. It has a couple of quite easy 'give aways' when comparing to an original - no one as yet has perfected the perfect replica!
Our remit was to leave the original paint and decal and repaint the black rubber to represent an early war version, repaint the shell in DAK colours with sand, age the fitting and chinstraps and make it look 70+ years old. The pictures do the talking!
