Chin strap for Heer, Luftwaffe, Waffen or Allgemeine SS caps. Found on all Officers and enlisted mans peaked caps including the SS Kepi. This strap is copied from an original.
It is made of aluminium bullion and cotton. It is 31 cm long when fully closed, so it will fit caps where the length between the buttons is 30 cm to approximately 31 cm (use string to measure!). If the button distance is shorter or longer then you will need to move both buttons for it to fit!
The diameter of both main cords is 6mm - so this is known as the thin cord chinstrap.
The final picture shows a genuine chin strap (right) and our reproduction (left), both arepretty much identical.
