82'd Airborne 505th PIR 3'd Battalion Helmet Stencil - Lion
The 82'd Airborne Division use of stencils was sporadic until after WW2. From information available, this is the closest match to one of the third battalion stencils (they had a few!). Black circle with forward facing lion.
A Genuine example of this on a M2 'D' bale can be seen at the Gettysburg Museum of History. The helmet belonged to O.S. Martin and he saw action throughout WW2 from Africa to the Battle of the Bulge.
You will get to stencils one for each side of the helmet. The Lion faces forward. This can be hand or spray painted and is easy to apply.
