The German General Staff was a full-time body at the head of the German Army, responsible for the continuous study of all aspects of war, and for drawing up and reviewing plans for mobilisation or campaigns. Claus von Stauffenberg was also part of the General Staff during the plot to assassinate Hitler.
This cap reflects one worn by General Staff up to the rank below General. It is in brand new condition as if just purchased from the cap maker!
