Quite rare HJ 'Gruppe Hochland' Edelweiss cap badges (try a google search!). They measure 45mm long by 33mm wide. Silver wash finish over a base metal with gold wash on the stamen.
The pin joints are extremely fragile we recommend not trying to bend them or you may snap it from its soldered joint!
Worn on the left side of the cap by members of the Hochland and Österreich HJ districts (mountain regions of Germany and Austria). There were two types of Edelweiss - the 'sew-on' type or the rarer 'pin back' these are all pin back other than numbers 14 and 15 where the pins have broken off.
