Chin strap for Heer, Luftwaffe, Political & Civil Generals caps. Found on Generals peaked caps including some Police caps. This strap is copied from an original.
It is made of gold bullion wire and cotton. It is 30 cm long when fully closed, so it will fit caps where the length between the buttons is 29 cm to approximately 30 cm (use string to measure!). If the button distance is shorter or longer then you will need to move both buttons for it to fit symmetrically!
The diameter of both main cords is 6mm - so this is known as the thin cord chinstrap.
