German Heer Chaplains Metal Cap Cross - New Condition
Reproduction German WWII Wehrmacht Heer Chaplains Metal Cross. Museum quality standard in base metal and silver coating. If you want a historically accurate cross that really jumps out at you - this is the one to get! Mostly used on peaked caps but there are exceptions worn on crusher caps.

It is approximately 25mm tall and 20mm wide. It is attached between the eagle and the wreath but above the Chaplains piping, using the two attachment pins.
This is the prefect cross if you have a Heer Chaplains cap without a cross or if you are a reenactor or collector who want to replace a poor quality cross with something special.
There were over 500 Catholic military chaplains in Nazi Germany at the outbreak of World War II and approximately 1100 by the end of the war. Hermann Göring had forbidden such chaplains in the air force, but the other branches of the military were generally supportive of the institution.
