Museum quality standard in gold bullion - 4mm thick, 65mm tall x 60mm wide with 5mm black felt border. Like many of the originals black paper on the reverse.
The Police under control of the Wehrmacht were organised into two separate branches - 'Security Police' & 'Order Police' – uniformed Police, of which the Water Protection Police (Wasserschutzpolizei) were included. Their role was to protect and police ports and harbours. They wore naval uniform with Police insignia and worked closely with marine and port authorities.
