Superb aged reproduction 1930's period Allgemeine SS NCO's Schirmmutzen Visor Cap. In SS black wool material and silvered second pattern Deaths head and Eagle. Made by EREL and with RZM label.
This great example has a top of soft, black weave wool and has a high, swept back 'crusher' look. The white piping is excellent and slightly yellowed and tarnished over time.
There is a black velvet center band. The insignia is tombak with nickel silver finish that remains mostly intact with green verdigris on both the eagle and the totenkopf. The leather NCO chin strap is well worn but excellent condition, remaining tightly affixed by a pair of aged black finished metal buttons.
The black vulkanfibre visor has crazing/lumping and heavy period aged marks. The interior is fully lined in tan rayon. There is a rhomboid shaped moisture shield. The sweatband is soft tan leather with stains, the 'EREL' marking is visible. Comes with cork forehead protector and RZM manufacturers paper label.
A genuine example similar to this one would be around the £6000+ mark!
