This aged cockade was worn on the centre of the Feldmütze band below the Reich's cockade. This version was for enlisted & NCO ranks use and is one of several versions produced. It is attached by sewing to the cap using the two holes on each side.
The cross says 'Mit Gott für König und Vaterland 1813'. The motto is that of Friedrich Wilhelm III and was implemented in 1813. It is 24mm in diameter and 4mm thick.
