Reino Hamer was a highly decorated Major in the Fallschirmjäger during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
The peak is the correct shape and material and lightly worn. The forehead pad is made of thin leather. The sweat protector is a lovely yellow aged colour. The underside of the peak is in the common Luftwaffe green. The list goes on.
