This beautiful quality Schirmmütze is made from a high quality gaberdine with Schwartz (black) headband and white piping. The liner is ersatz leather and the peak vulkanfibre.
They are exact high quality reproductions, not cheap far eastern made versions. They are exactly like the originals and are made with the correct materials and fittings. These come with Prussian and Reich cockades and 'deaths head' skull. They are made in Germany by Robert Lubstein, just like the originals.
Created in 1741 by King Frederick II as 5th Husaren Regiment it was also called Schwarze Husaren Regiment (Black Hussar Regiment). In 1808, the regiment was divided into 1. Leib-Husaren-Regiment and 2. Leib-Husaren-Regiment. The 1. Leib-Husaren-Regiment stationed in Danzig. In 1861, the first regiment was officially called 1. Leib-Husaren-Regiment Nr. 1. Together with 2. Leib-Husaren-Regiment Königin Victoria von Preussen created Leib-Husaren-Brigade.
