Reproduction size 56 German U-Boat Kriegsmarine Enlisted Overseas cap with 70+ years of ageing. As worn by the crew of a U-boat in the third flotilla.
The outside cloth and insignia all show good wear and both the inside and outside are stained and aged. Notice the BeVo eagle and cockade are dark and tarnished. Notice the wear, dirt and stains particularly on the top and inside of the cap.
This cap displays the 'Turtle' badge - the symbol of the 3rd U-boat flotilla. Also known as Lohs Flotilla under the command of Kapitänleutnant Hans Eckermann. In October 1941 the flotilla was moved to La Pallice, La Rochelle in France and from January 1942 at Lorient.
