This is an outstanding reproduction factory made field cap using genuine WW2 materials, in-fact you could describe this as genuine but made after WW2! It represent a manufacturer made cap by 'Carl Halfar - Berlin'.
Make no mistake this is not the cheap thin reproduction caps from the far East sold on well known auction sites. This is hand & machine made from genuine WW2 cotton material, lined with the correct red WWII material and machine stitched genuine Heer insignia which has subsequently been removed (small threads of insignia remain), revealing the darker cap material underneath!
Even the threads used are cotton/linen and not modern poly-threads! This is a superbly crafted cap in size 59.
