This is an outstanding reproduction factory made field cap using generally genuine WW2 materials, in-fact you could describe this as genuine but made after WW2! It represents a manufacturer made cap. The leatherette headband is made to look WW2 period but has been made after WW2 - everything else is genuine!
This cap is hand & machine made from genuine WW2 cotton material, lined with the correct red WWII material and machine stitched genuine Heer insignia. The eagle, cockade and soutache are worth over £250 in their own right!
The inside sweatband of the cap is WW2 period (except the aged leatherette headband) and even the threads used are cotton/linen and not modern poly-threads! This is a superbly crafted size 57 cap.
Genuine examples are being sold for several thousand pounds, this one is a fraction of this price!
