This is one of our worlds best ckl68 reproduction helmets in aged condition. It is a M38 1943 to 1945 version of the paratrooper helmet in Westfront paint and with Zimmerit covering. It shows medium wear but with 70+ years of ageing. It also has the third version of the ersatzleder chinstrap.
Perfect for:
- Reenactment and living history
- Collections and displays
- Compare against originals
- Gifts and commemorations
- Museums, plays and films
It represents one used by the Luftwaffe Fallschirmjaeger from approximately 1943 onwards and is suitably stamped with ckl68 (Eisenhutten Thale) and 4054 batch number. It has a late war WW2 composite leather liner band and the liner is made from sheepskin. The chinstrap has an original buckle.
The whole helmet shows medium use and aged with Westfront paint showing clearly. It has the later M38 aluminium pattern vented bolts at the side and the slotted versions at the rear. The shell is known as the 'flared' or 'raised' rim version. The Zimmerit is made from the original recipe.
This is not an inexpensive paint job as found on most well known auction sites - effort and time has been spent to get it as accurate as possible.
This helmet would make a fantastic item in your Fallschirmjäger collection and lets face it an original similar to this one would be GBP £9000+.
This helmet will be sent from the EU, so if you are buying it in the EU then you will not be charged any Customs charges or Import fees!
