This badge was worn by the crew of U-37 which had a very impressive career and survived the war - 53 ships sunk, 2 warships sunk and 1 ship damaged.

It survived the war and was scuttled on 8th May 1945 in Sonderburg Bay. It had four knights cross winners as commander: KrvKpt. Werner Hartmann, Kptlt. Victor Oehrn, Kptlt. Asmus Nicolai Clausen and Kptlt. Ulrich Folkers.

It measures 23mm wide x 30mm tall.
