This badge was worn by the crew of U-68 which had a very impressive career and was sunk on 10th of Apr 1944 - 32 ships sunk and 1 auxillary warship sunk. It was sunk by depth charges and rockets from Avenger and Wildcat aircraft of the US escort carrier USS Guadalcanal.
