This badge is hand made in aircraft grade aluminium finish, as many of the original emblems were, they were not mass produced to factory specifications.
U-106 was commanded by three commanders ( Jürgen Oesten - Knights Cross, Hermann Rasch - Knights Cross & Wolf-Dietrich Damerow)and had the following kills: 22 Ships sunk, 2 damaged & 2 Warships damaged. An outstanding war record. Attach the badge by sewing round the tail and th front teeth - there were no attachment holes on this badge.
