This badge is hand made in aircraft grade aluminium finish, as many of the original emblems were, they were not mass produced to factory specifications. It has been aged to look WW2 period and used.
U-106 was commanded by three commanders ( Jürgen Oesten - Knights Cross, Hermann Rasch - Knights Cross & Wolf-Dietrich Damerow)and had the following kills: 22 Ships sunk, 2 damaged & 2 Warships damaged. An outstanding war record. Attach the badge by sewing round the tail and th front teeth - there were no attachment holes on this badge.
