Several WW1 Caps had chinstraps added by NCO's and Officers for added effect. There was not one standard type of strap, with many different variations including size, thickness, and buckles. We offer you this strap if you want to add one to your Imperial or WWI German Mützen.

This type of strap was also worn on u-boat officers caps.
