This aged reproduction badge is made in Germany as the originals were. We believe this to be the best reproduction 13th U-Boat Flotilla hat badge available. It has been aged to look 70+ years old with marks, scrapes and blemish's all adding to the overall affect.
The 13th Flotilla was founded in June, 1943. In September 1944 the flotilla was reorganized, when most of the boats from the French bases reached Norway. Its history ended in May 1945 when Germany surrendered. It was commanded by Korvkpt. Rolf Rüggeberg.
This badge is correctly marked S.H.u. Co. - which means it was made by Sohni Heubach & Co in Germany and look at the front detail compared to other similar badges - it is accurate! Measures 30mm x 30mm.
