German Helmet SS 'Fat Runes' Decal Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler LSSAH or LAH #14
Store > WW2 Helmet & Hat Accessories > German Helmet Decals & Stencils > SS Fat Runes
This water transfer decal is found in conjunction with #61 the 'Fat Runes' shield decal.
Used on ET M35, transitional and civil weight helmets 1934 to 1935. Also used by the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. Know as the 'Fat Runes' decal because of the large size of the SS runes.
Josef "Sepp" Dietrich has been photographed wearing these runes on one of his early helmets as have several of the LSSAH.
Notice the curved outer black outline with a sharp join and the bottom of the runes end at the join of the curve.
There is also a white metallic background which reflects the light when turned at the correct angle.
The worlds most accurate 'Fat Rune' swastika decal, use #14 and #61 together for a perfect pairing.
Made from colour matched inks and printed on 1950's screen presses - so there are no digital edges! This decal can also be covered in a suitable acrylic lacquer or varnish. Instructions can be found here.
