The shell is a genuine Model 1940 Q62 (Quist size 62) with batch number 'T822'. It came to us with the inside in field grey and the rim in black and the outside in black.
We have added the Waffen SS Runes and National Socialist Swastic decals, acceptance stamped the inside, added a replica liner and RB Numbered chinstrap. We have camouflaged painted the outer shell in white and then in RAL7009. We add the owners name on the inside and aged up the complete helmet and parts.
This represents a helmet used by the Leibstandarte for parade purposes and then used in winter combat either in the Eastern Front or Western Front (Battle of the bulge). The white was overpainted in Green Grey (RAL7009) in patches to represent Spring Campaign.
