The 'Freikorps Sauerland' decal is found on NS M42 Helmets. It is likely they came from a single unknown manufacturer.
The Freikorps Sauerland was in September 1944 by the Gauleiter Albert Hoffmann formed. It was a paramilitary association in October 1944 with the approval of the Party Chancellery under Martin Bormann the Volkssturm was assumed. Hoffmann saw the Freikorps Sauerland as "elite unit" in his Gau Westfalen-Süd.
We have created this from an original and have also copied the known 'defects' on the original e.g. the offset swastika and offset left shield side. This without doubt is the worlds best decal! We have had comments that it is too 'lime green' in colour our reply is that there are very few in circulation and the genuine decals are all lime green. The dark green colour is a fantasy decal!
