Re-usable stencil template that can be used on WWI German Helmets to create the National Colours insignia for the Leibstandarte Adolf Hitlers personal body guard unit.


This stencil was used on WW1 German and Austrian helmets up to 1935, after which decals were used on the new M35 helmets. These National Colours Shields were either painted freehand or with a stencil. Regardless of application method you can tell they were hand painted compared with decals. Our stencil allows you to replicate this hand painted method.


You can paint the red part up to thewhite outline or the red part can be painted in by hand across the whole decal - both finishes are valid.
