Reproduction WWII German Artillery NCO Peaked Cap. This cap reflects a pre-war cap made between 1918 and 1939, where the outer cap band is not the standard dark green but a much lighter shade matching the material on the top.
The Schirmmutzen hat is reproduction but made in Germany by the EREL owned company. We are the Worldwide dealers for aged EREL caps produced in Germany.
It is a superb Artillery NCO (Non Commissioned Officer), cap, made of top quality material and in the same method and materials as the originals. In aged condition it is difficult to tell does not date from WW2.
This cap is made to look very lightly worn but with 70+ years of ageing - so it does look in excellent condtion.
Leather liner, vulkanfibre peak (with top showing age cracking) and lightly aged celluloid head liner are some of the outstanding features.
The eagle and wreath are early war silver (alloy), reproductions. The chinstrap also has light age related cracking and slight rusting to the metalwork.
The penultimate picture shows the final finish of the cap with the front support removed and the metal headband shaped to look like the original. The final picture (red background), shows the original cap that we copied to make this Schirmmutzen.
