This is a reproduction, brand new, Schirmmützen cap for a Waffen SS Mechanised Reconnaissance Officer. The maker is EREL and has two makers marks, one in the crown and one on the leather sweat band. This cap is brand new and ready for reenactment wear or display.
It is a Waffen Schutzstaffel(Waffen SS), German Mechanised Reconnaissance officers cap (1938 to 1941), made of top quality trikot gaberdine and in the same method and materials as in the originals.
The insignia is museum quality and both eagle and death heads skull are also brand new. You can choose what insignia you want here.
The leather sweat band is in excellent condition with makers mark (EREL patent Stirnschutz), the celluloid sweat protector has a large makers mark. It also has the makers paper marking, and German labels.
